Pass Plus
Pass Plus Driving Lessons
Congratulations, you have just passed your driving test and are now able to go solo. But this is just the start of your journey. What can you do to further improve your driving standard and possibly save yourself some money? FlexDrive offers Pass Plus lessons in Wellingborough, Kettering, Northampton, Corby and the surrounding villages in either one of our cars or using your own. This gives you real life experience of how other drivers treat you as they would any other driver. It’s an eye-opener!
What is the pass Plus Scheme?
It is a DVSA designed syllabus (min. 6 hours) consisting of the following modules:
Town driving
All weather driving
Driving out of town
Night driving
Dual carriageways
Motorways
It has been designed specifically for newly qualified drivers (less than 12 Months) to build on and develop their existing experience and to provide them with more skills to cope with today’s busy and dangerous roads. There is also a financial advantage in that many insurers will give significant discounts to drivers holding Pass Plus certificates.
Why is it advisable (by the DVSA and Flexdrive) to take the course?
Statistics show that recently passed drivers are much more likely to have an accident in the first 2 years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career. In the first year of driving, one driver in five is involved in an accident. This is mainly down to a lack of driving experience, and this is where Pass Plus comes in!
How much will it all cost?
The course is a minimum(as per the DVSA) of 6 hours training in the modules detailed above, and the course fee is £210. There is no exam, your instructor will continuously assess/teach you to enable you to achieve the standard. Extra lessons are chargeable at an hourly rate of £33/hour. It is normal that pupils who have trained and passed their driving test with Flexdrive achieve the standard within the minimum training time.
